The Diablo 4 invisible wall bug is one that can frustratingly and completely halt players' progress

The Diablo 4 invisible wall bug is one that can frustratingly and completely halt players' progress, but Blizzard Support details a possible solution.

For the most part, the launch of Diablo 4 has set a new standard for Blizzard releases, but a lot of the server-side issues were anticipated and dealt with long ago thanks to pre-release public testing. One glitch that has been literally halting some players' exploration of Diablo 4 in its footsteps, and doesn't appear to be directly related to the servers.

The invisible wall glitch in Diablo 4 is an uncommon one, but one that was also present in the beta and Server Slam versions of the game. Blizzard is reportedly aware of the glitch and working on a solution, but in the meantime, there is one possible solution that players have found. However, if issues persist after trying this, it may be because of some different problems.

According to the official support site, Blizzard is aware of D4 Gold  the invisible walls Diablo 4 players have been running into. Though the company is "currently investigating it", it has not yet released a patch to deal with the glitch. However, the support page for this glitch does give one workaround for players experiencing invisible walls specifically at the border of Diablo 4's major zones.

Apparently, the invisible wall glitch can happen if the game doesn't recognize a character as having transitioned to a new zone. Blizzard Support's recommendation is to try to enter another area, then return and attempt to get through the zone border once again. If the glitch persists, the only other action players can take is to contact support and submit a bug report.

Though the invisible wall glitch is very real, and has been affecting a number of players since well before Diablo 4 launched, there are alternative reasons why a player might be having trouble getting past a certain point.

The most common reason for this is rubberbanding. As the Diablo 4 servers become inundated, players may experience a glitch where their character freezes for a moment then returns to a position from a few seconds before as it tries to calculate their location – like a rubber band snapping back into place. But in times of particularly heavy stress, or low-quality internet connection, this can prevent players from progressing through areas as the server struggles to update their location.

It may sound stupid, but Invisible Walls could also simply be a small obstacle in the players' way that can be maneuvered around. The mount in Diablo 4 is particularly infamous for running into Cheap Diablo 4 Gold the smallest of objects and instantly coming to a stop.

Before submitting a bug report or contacting support, be sure to explore all possible options, and try alternative methods to get into areas blocked off. Hopefully, Blizzard will soon release an update to remove these glitched walls from Diablo 4 and improve the game's ability to recognize players' locations.
