Swimming with Sharks and Other Sea LifeAnimal Crossing: New Horizons Summer Update - Wave 1 was the name given by Nintendo to a new free update that was distributed by the company on July 3, 2021. This included swimming underwater and the ability to don a wet suit, both of which were previously available to players in New Leaf. If you haven't already done so, all you have to do to gain access to these features is make sure that your software is up to date.

In addition, the update brought back two non-playable characters, namely Gulliver and Pascal. Pascal is a character who resembles an otter and can be found in the ocean. In exchange for scallops, Pascal will give you a variety of items. Even though Gulliver had already made an appearance in New Horizons, his name will be changed to Gullivarr in the Wave 1 update, which also granted him a charming new pirate costume and new rewards for your assistance in completing his quests.

PumpkinsNintendo released a new update for New Horizons in September of 2020. This update introduced crops to the game for the first time and gave players the ability to create unique Halloween items by using pumpkins as the base material.

If you want to start growing pumpkins, the first thing you need to do is get your hands on some seeds. Pumpkin starts are, thankfully, not hard to find and can be obtained all throughout the month of October from two distinct locations, Nooks Cranny and Leif.
