What Has Changed in Nintendo's Animal Crossing Island and How Can You Get There?

Nintendo has recently updated the Animal Crossing: New Horizons island in preparation for the upcoming Fall season

Nintendo has recently updated the Animal Crossing: New Horizons island in preparation for the upcoming Fall season. Ninten Island was released around this time last year as part of the update that added Dream Addresses to the game, and it is now available for download. Because of its association with Dream Addresses, players can travel to Ninten Island and see what has changed since they were there the previous year.

This mechanic, which first appeared in the Animal Crossing series in New Leaf, has been adapted to take advantage of the more extensive multi-player capabilities of the Nintendo Switch in Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Dream Island. In order for Dream Islands to function, players must first visit each other's islands while the island's host is not actively participating in the game. Animal Crossing fans were delighted to see this change, as visiting friends' islands in New Horizons had previously been accompanied by lengthy loading screens and interruptions to the game's gameplay.

As a way to commemorate the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Dream Islands, Nintendo has created its own Dream Island, Ninten Island, which can be found on the game's official website. Since then, Nintendo has made several updates to its island, allowing visitors to discover new decorations each time they visit. Its most recent update to Ninten Island, which was released on November 20, included seasonal changes that marked a significant improvement over the island's most recent edit, which was released six months earlier.

How to Get to Nintendo's Ninten Island in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

- Ninten Island was decked out for Bunny Day this year, which took place in May

- In addition to bunnies decorating the Town Hall, bunny-themed interiors were seen in many homes

- Although eggs were removed from the game in the most recent update, they were replaced with farm areas for the new vegetables and pumpkins introduced in New Horizons, and home interiors now feature the accent walls that were introduced in Animal Crossing 2

- While Ninten Island retains its fun and chaotic energy, furniture items are scattered throughout the island to create a collage of references to other Nintendo series, preserving the island's fun and chaotic energy

All that is required of players who wish to visit Ninten Island is that they sleep in one of the beds available on their island. This action activates the Dream Island mechanic, which transports the player to the location of their choice thanks to Luna's assistance. A player's only requirement for visiting Ninten Island is that they enter the Dream Island ID, which Nintendo posted on Twitter and is DA-6382-1459-4417, in order to do so. It is an exciting opportunity for both players and Nintendo to interact with one another on Ninten Island. It is rare for a game developer to come into such close contact with players in their own game, despite the fact that the company's Dream Island pales in comparison to the artistic masterpieces Animal Crossing fans have created in the past. And, thanks to the incorporation of new mechanics from Animal Crossing: New Horizons' version 2.0 update, Nintendo's island may even serve as an inspiration for players to incorporate these elements into their own creations.
